It is often used for decorative art pieces or an aspect of interior decoration. Learn the basics and create beautiful mosaics using recycled tiles, broken vases, old crockery, glass and mirror. There’s a starter piece for beginners and you will be asked to bring an object, a garden pot perhaps to mosaic and add colour to your garden. Open Class: come on the days you can manage.

Newcastle Weekend Workshop May 2010
DAY 1: The Asteroids
Witches, Goddesses or Wise Women.
Where is the goddess walking today? That wild and wise aspect of the feminine, the spirit of the witch that oozes passion and intuition and drives us deep into our inner senses. The first of the asteroids found was named Ceres, in 1801, after a powerful feminine archetype of the Great Mother. Ceres was soon joined by Vesta, Juno, Pallas Athene and many other Olympian goddesses to mark the re-emergence of empowered feminine force
What effect has the awakening of these archetypes had on our modern psyche? Man or woman, our choices have been affected. The influences of these goddesses have manifested and played out in the struggles and achievements of the changing face and roles of the men and women in today’s society. Find out where these issues fit into your life story.
What is it that the asteroids add to the consultation process, how does the use of asteroids augment our practice as astrologers? There will be time to look at examples of how the themes of the asteroids can be delineated and understood when looking at a chart as a whole unit. The major four plus Lilith and Hygeia will be included in the chart delineation.
DAY 2: The Art of Progressions

The Asteroid Series 2010
Powerful Goddesses of old have returned to the world of astrology through the study of asteroids and give us many new forms of understanding the ways of the feminine. What effect has the awakening of these archetypes had on our modern psyche? Man or woman, our choices have been affected. The acknowledgment and exploration of these strong voices can help to redress the balance of power, individually and collectively.
Join Tess in Byron Bay and explore the feminine archetypes represented by the asteroids, Ceres, Juno, Pallas, Vesta, Hygeia and Lilith. We will talk, draw, feast, tell stories, vision and dream as we activate and explore the voices of these intrinsic aspects of ourselves.
@ The Shed Yagars Lane, Byron Bay
Who are the witches?
Where do they come from?
Maybe your great, great grandmother was one?
Witches are wise, wise women they say,
There’s a little witch in every woman today. |
