Chart Calculations

To become a qualified practitioner of Astrology one must be competent at the basic calculations. The next FAA Calculation Exam is July 20th 2008.

Learn how to cast an astrological chart without the use of a computer. The process of calculating a birth chart holds a vast amount of information that helps create a deeper understanding of how astrology works. In the first workshop Mar 8 we will cover how to calculate and draw up a natal chart using the birth data: time, place and date. As there are alot of other calculations to learn through the series we will proceed through how to calculate and plot the progressed moon using adjusted calculaton date, the vertex, Solar Arcs, transits, reading the ephemeris.

Cost $80 / $60 students

Materials needed:
Grey lead pencil, rubber, ruler (clear if possible) coloured pencils or textas,
fine black felt tipped pen

An ephemeris, table of houses and international atlas if you have them.

Prior Knowledge needed:
A basic knowledge of the language of signs, planets and houses.

1. Mar 8: Casting a natal chart - the angles, the houses, the planets.
2. Apr 5: Review, Calculate the ACD, plotting the Progressed chart.
3. Apr 12: Review, the Vertex, Solar Arc events.
4. June 28: A mock exam: reviewing the results.
5. July 12: A much needed checkin before the exam.
